Qualifications

• Commitment to learning skills for journeyman status.
• Ability to work with a Plumbing Mechanic and follow direction.
• Meet apprenticeship requirements including 2,000 hours of on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the layout and installation of commercial plumbing systems.
• Work on commercial new construction sites.
• Follow safety protocols and work efficiently in all weather conditions.

Skills

Ability to listen, learn, and retain information

Working knowledge of IPC Chapters 1–3

Basic blueprint and print-reading skills

Experience installing basic plumbing fixtures

Mentoring junior staff

Education

Completion of Plumbing 101 or equivalent

Tools

Basic hand and power tools
