Job summary

Allied Mechanical is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice Technician in Utah to learn diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial and industrial plumbing systems. You'll work under supervision in a team setting, install plumbing components, and support safety and customer satisfaction while pursuing apprenticeship milestones and licensure as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma preferred.
• Commercial plumbing experience is highly desired.
• Completion of an plumbing apprenticeship or trade school.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to codes.
• Inspect structures to locate pipe positions and connections.
• Use hand and power tools and test equipment for plumbing tasks.
• Perform leak tests and identify issues using gauges and water/air tests.
• Cut openings for pipe fittings in walls and floors.
• Install valves, pipe fittings, and metal/nonmetal pipes.
• Install toilets, drains, and water heaters.
• Promote excellent customer service and work safely with contractors.
• Collaborate with other trades and manage tool/material inventories.
• Ensure plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently.
• Follow safety protocols and comply with regulations and codes.
