Job summary

RQ Construction, LLC seeks experienced pipefitters to join our Mechanical team on military installations in Jacksonville, Florida and nearby areas including Kings Bay Naval Base, Georgia. All work is performed on site and compensated under Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements.

Pipefitters - Jacksonville, Florida and the surrounding areas

RQ is currently seeking experienced Pipefitters to join our Mechanical team supporting projects in Jacksonville, Florida; Kings Bay Naval Base, Georgia; and nearby areas. All work is performed on military installations and is compensated according to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements applicable to each site.

Pipefitters in this role will be responsible for laying out, assembling, and installing piping systems on active construction sites. This includes ensuring all work complies with applicable codes, specifications, and quality standards. The position requires strong technical knowledge of pipefitting practices, along with the proper use of tools and equipment. All work must be performed in accordance with established safety procedures and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $20.94-$46.25 (based on experience)

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 4 years of experience working as a pipefitter in commercial construction or facility operations
• Journeyman-level work experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on government, military, or large-scale commercial projects is preferred
• Experience with mechanical pipe installation
• Background in underground piping work and chiller lines
• Valid pipefitter license or journeyman certification
• Current welding certification
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA-10 certifications
