Job summary

Executive Search Partners Inc. in Houston is seeking an Analyst to support our client’s Commercial Operations team in power, capacity, RECs, and environmental commodity markets.

This role targets someone with 2–4 years of analytical or commodity-operations experience, with exposure across Trading, Risk, Accounting, Credit and FP&A, and ownership of ISO and capacity-market workflows. You will help improve ETRM/blotter accuracy, support reporting, and contribute to system and process improvements

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of analytical or commodity-operations experience.
• Experience in energy markets is preferred.
• Ability to own tasks in a fast-moving environment.

Job description

I’m looking for an Analyst in Houston to work on my client's Commercial Operations team supporting power, capacity, RECs, and environmental commodity markets.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with 2–4 years of analytical or commodity-operations experience who wants deeper exposure to the commercial side of energy markets. You’ll work across Trading, Risk, Accounting, Credit, and FP&A, supporting ISO and capacity-market operations, trade and contract workflows, ETRM/blotter accuracy, reporting, and process improvement.

Experience with PJM and/or CAISO is especially valuable. We’re looking for someone who is organized, curious, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving environment.

This is not just a reporting role. You’ll have the opportunity to learn how energy markets operate in practice, collaborate directly with commercial teams, and help improve the systems and processes that support trading decisions.
