The Difference You Make:

The SVP works with clients and internal and external business partners on portfolio performance monitoring, general compliance, and ongoing risk assessment. Responsibilities include ensuring collateral pledged under credit agreements meets legal standards and is appropriately valued for the transaction's risk and characteristics.

Responsibilities:
  1. Underwrites, structures, and manages portfolios of new transactions and existing relationships.
  2. Leads underwriting, structuring, and closing of amendments, upsizes, and extensions, including annual reviews and credit approval memos.
  3. Communicates portfolio trends, risks, and mitigants to senior leadership.
  4. Cultivates excellent client relationships.
  5. Develops and manages portfolio information for sound risk management, economic, and regulatory reporting.
  6. Prepares and presents monthly/quarterly portfolio reviews with the team.
  7. Develops and refines tools to track borrower and portfolio performance, monitor trends, and industry performance.
  8. Collaborates with originations team on loan approval processes, legal documentation, collateral review, and funding approvals.
  9. Manages risks throughout the post-closing credit process to ensure borrower performance.
  10. Monitors and enforces loan agreement terms.
  11. Establishes best practices policies and procedures.

Bachelor's Degree: Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, or equivalent field - Required.

Required Experience:

At least 9+ years of hands-on commercial and/or corporate banking underwriting experience - Mandatory.

  • Proficient communicator (orally and in writing) with clients, peers, and associates.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with commercial loan systems.
  • Ability to work with various departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment with critical deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of loan products and services.
  • Understanding of bank compliance policies related to job duties, with adherence and reporting of violations.

  • Minimum: $123,750.00 USD
  • Maximum: $200,000.00 USD
