Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an FP&A Leader for Commercial Materials Services to drive profitability analysis, scenario planning, and operational partnership of material allocation. You will be the SME for orders/backlog, align with Investor Relations, and shape the narrative for external analyses.

You will lead reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, leveraging data analytics to inform strategy and elevate senior leadership discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• 6+ years of finance/FP&A experience in a commercial setting.
• Track record for leading and coordinating deliverables across the business.
• Experience with data and analytics in a financial context.
• Strong communication skills with proven ability to elevate takeaways to Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert for orders and backlog reporting & analysis, including collaboration with Investor Relations and Senior Leadership.
• Utilize data and analytics to identify trends and insights that inform business strategy.
• Partner across product lines to identify best practices and provide portfolio level forecasting insights.
• Provide standardized reporting across the CMS channel for leadership reports.
• Manage CMS cost forecasting processes including monthly estimates, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and longer-term strategy.
• Monthly reporting on CMS financials and KPI tracking with trend analysis and risk/opportunity assessment.
• Partner with Controllership to ensure complete and accurate financial statements.

Job Description Summary

The Commercial Materials Services(“CMS”) FP&A Leader is the Finance leader of the Commercial Materials Services channel. Partnering closely with the product line finance teams and operations teams, this leader utilizes data and analytics to proactively identify trends and see around corners. Strategic thinking is a must, with key responsibilities including profitability analysis, scenario planning, and operational partnership of material allocation. Additionally, the CMS FP&A Leader is the subject matter expert for spare parts orders and backlog, working directly with Investor Relations and Senior Leadership to define the narrative for one of the most critical external leading indicators asked about by analysts.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert for orders and backlog reporting & analysis, including close collaboration with Investor Relations and Senior Leadership to inform external investor talking points and trends


• Utilize data and analytics to identify trends and insights that inform business strategy and/or help achieve desired business outcomes


• Partner across product lines to identify best practices, implement standard work, and provide portfolio level insights that can drive increased forecasting accuracy


• Provide standardized reporting across the Commercial Materials Services channel to facilitate leadership reporting, both internally and externally


• Responsible for managing the Commercial Materials Services cost forecasting processes including monthly estimates, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and longer-term strategy financials.


• Monthly reporting on Commercial Material Services financials and KPI tracking inclusive of trend analysis and potential risk/opportunities to quarter forecasts.


• Partner with Controllership to help ensure complete & accurate financial statements for Commercial Material Services

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of finance/FP&A experience in a commercial setting

• Prior experience with data and analytics (preferably in a financial context)
