Job summary

Total Talent Solutions in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Part-Time Commercial Maintenance Technician. The position involves troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance for facility systems.

15 hours per week with a fixed Mon/Wed/Fri schedule and a pay rate of $27.00 - $30.00 per hour. This role focuses on keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently while providing professional customer service.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or related trades.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures, manuals, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs per work orders.
• Perform minor plumbing tasks (unclog drains, repair leaks, replace fixtures).
• Complete routine carpentry and painting tasks (patch drywall, match paint, small repairs).
• Conduct minor electrical repairs allowed by state law (replace outlets, switches, lighting).
• Perform HVAC, equipment, and building system checks as needed.
• Conduct site and asset inspections.
• Use a tablet/smartphone to log notes and submit reports.
• Maintain tools, obtain materials, track expenses.
• Communicate professionally with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Attend safety training and follow OSHA standards.
• Provide estimates for larger repairs or projects.
• Support additional tasks as assigned.

• Mondays: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or trade certification preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or related trades
• Prior experience in facility maintenance, construction, landscaping, or janitorial services is highly preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to read and follow safety procedures, manuals, and work orders
• Ability to operate mobile devices, work order systems, and basic computer software (Microsoft Office, database tools)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple building systems
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and crawling
• Daily local travel required
