Job summary

The Symicor Group is seeking a Commercial Loan Assistant in Schaumburg, IL. You will document loan data, coordinate with customers, and support loan officers and treasury staff to service a growing commercial loan portfolio.

Responsibilities include preparing loan documents, closing coordination, and ensuring accuracy of conditions. The role emphasizes attention to detail, professionalism, and timely communication with clients and lenders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in loan operations and loan closings considered in lieu of degree.
Proficient in office skills as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Correspond with applicants to gather financial information for the loan approval process.
Order preliminary title work, UCC searches, Flood Certificates, environmental reports, Credit Reports, and all other necessary data.
Assist Commercial Loan Officers in managing portfolios and administrative tasks as assigned.
Work with Commercial Loan Officers, Treasury Management, and team members to grow portfolio revenue by presenting financial solutions.
Provide clerical and administrative support to lending staff and set up commercial loan files with timeliness and accuracy.
Coordinate with borrower and/or insurance agent for lapsed or expiring insurance.
Contribute to the team’s meeting and production goals.
Primary contact for coordination of information between client and internal departments in the loan process.
Prepare and review commercial loan documents prior to closing to ensure accuracy of approval conditions.
Finalize loan closing with third parties to ensure all aspects of loan preparation are completed.
Prepare loan disbursement entries for closing and bookings.
Review and process credit reports and draw requests for customers.
Obtain updated financial statements, credit reports, rent rolls, and other information for servicing files.
Prepare loan extensions and deferrals; assist in preparing credit memos.
Coordinate with participant banks for loan participation purchases or sales.
Maintain files for repos, small claims, and garnishments.
Oversee renewals, document tickler, and covenant tracking of loans.
Monitor document and financial statement exception reports and follow up to clear issues.
