Job summary

NBT Bancorp Inc. is seeking a Business Banking Loan Administrator in New York to support loan approvals, ensure data accuracy, and liaise with Business Bankers, Branch Teams and Commercial Lenders.

This role emphasizes compliance, documentation coordination, and delivering outstanding customer service, requiring strong MS Office skills and experience in commercial lending operations. It is an on-site position with competitive pay and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred.
• Experience in Commercial, Credit, Retail, or Banking Operations preferred.
• Strong listening and communication skills with the ability to deliver quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures.
• Review loan approvals and perform post-approval due diligence; gather documentation and order third-party reports.
• Coordinate loan closings with Relationship Manager, Bankers, Branches and Attorney; ensure proper documentation and disbursement.
• Maintain customer service activities and liaise with borrowers, attorneys, and vendors for updated documentation and renewals.
• Perform general administrative duties and manage physical & electronic loan files.
• Other duties as assigned.
