Position Summary

Oversee a team responsible for performing multiple functions related to commercial loan documentation. This includes primary oversight for those handling all functions related to documenting complex and non-complex commercial loans originated via Commercial Bankers (CBCs) and Retail Bankers (BBCs) using Laser Pro and Lawyer Pro in Laser Pro and the Loan Origination System. Ensure the integrity of loan documents, that they conform to credit terms, and are compliant with all regulatory requirements. Provide guidance, coaching, and direction to staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the integrity of loan documentation for all commercial loan types, including real estate, UCC secured, lines of credit, letters of credit, aircraft, preferred mortgages, SWAP, SBA 7a, SBA Express, and SBA 504 loans, for new loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications.
  • Verify that all loan documents are properly documented according to credit approval terms, departmental guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage daily activities within departmental SLA, coordinate work in SharePoint and Loan Origination System, and act as an escalation point for documentation issues.
  • Assist in developing procedures and process guides, and participate in projects and testing.
  • Communicate effectively with underwriters, loan officers, and other stakeholders to resolve documentation issues that may delay customer closings.
  • Participate in required training on Loan Documentation, Laser Pro software, and applicable compliance laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, security, and government regulations.
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
  • High School Diploma required; equivalent education and experience considered.
Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years in commercial loan servicing.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role leading projects, processes, or teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced understanding of commercial loan documentation, departmental functions, Laser Pro, Loan Origination System, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of financial contracts, loan documentation structures, credit approval review, and compliance with lending policies and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with professional communication and editing abilities.
  • Leadership skills to coach, mentor, and organize team workloads effectively.
  • Practical problem-solving skills with common sense application in standardized situations.

  • Starting salary range: $30.34 - $39.98, based on experience.
