Job summary

MRISpokane is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist in California to join its centralized loan documentation team. You will prepare, review, and manage commercial loan documentation packages, with emphasis on CRE and complex lending, using LaserPro and aligning with credit terms and internal policies.

The role requires five+ years of experience, knowledge of title reports and collateral structures, and collaboration with relationship managers, escrow officers, and outside

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review loan documentation packages for CRE, construction, lines of credit, SBA, agricultural, and other lending.
• Use LaserPro to prepare accurate documents aligned with credit terms and policies.
• Review approvals, title reports, entity structures and supporting docs for completeness.
• Coordinate with relationship managers, escrow, title companies and outside counsel.
• Assess collateral perfection, lien positions and secured lending requirements.
• Identify and resolve documentation exceptions and outstanding collateral needs.
• Conduct pre-closing and post-closing reviews for completeness and compliance.
• Maintain documentation records and support audits and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with complex transactions requiring additional review.

About the Opportunity

An established California-based commercial bank is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist to join its centralized loan documentation team.

This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing commercial loan documentation packages, with an emphasis on commercial real estate and complex commercial lending transactions.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on LaserPro experience, a solid understanding of commercial loan documentation requirements, and the ability to independently manage documentation for a variety of lending structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review commercial loan documentation packages, including commercial real estate, construction, commercial lines of credit, SBA, agricultural, and other specialized lending transactions.


• Utilize LaserPro to prepare accurate loan documents consistent with approved credit terms and internal lending policies.


• Review credit approvals, preliminary title reports, entity structures, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.


• Coordinate with relationship managers, credit administration, escrow officers, title companies, and outside legal counsel.


• Review documentation requirements related to collateral perfection, lien positions, and secured lending transactions.


• Identify, track, and resolve documentation exceptions and outstanding collateral requirements.


• Conduct pre-closing and post-execution reviews to ensure loan packages are complete and compliant.


• Maintain accurate documentation records and support internal audit and regulatory requirements.


• Assist with complex loan transactions requiring additional documentation review and coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of commercial loan documentation experience within a banking or financial services environment.


• Strong hands-on proficiency with Harland LaserPro is highly preferred.


• Experience preparing commercial and commercial real estate loan documentation.


• Working knowledge of preliminary title reports, collateral requirements, and borrowing entity structures.


• Understanding of commercial lending regulations, documentation standards, and bank policies.


• Experience with loan documentation exceptions, collateral perfection, and post-closing review.


• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple transactions.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking loan systems; Fiserv experience is a plus.

Work Arrangement
