Your Role in Our Success

The Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring a portfolio of commercial loans while ensuring compliance with CBS LLC underwriting guidelines. This role requires a strong understanding of credit analysis, risk assessment, and financial document review. The Portfolio Manager will serve as a key point of contact for credit unions, borrowers, and professional partners, ensuring the timely collection of financial information, completion of annual reviews, and ongoing risk management.

Responsibilities

• Collect and evaluate financial information from credit unions, borrowers, and referral sources for periodic reviews, renewals, modifications, and risk rating assessments.
• Ensure timely completion of annual reviews, line of credit renewals, and modifications (rate, term, amortization).
• Monitor loan maturities, ensuring loans do not go past maturity dates.
• Track compliance with property tax and insurance requirements for assigned loans.
• Send financial letters requesting updated financials at least four times a year; which includes following up with borrowers regularly to ensure timely submission of financials
• Oversee the performance of assigned commercial loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with state, federal regulations, and bank policies
• Maintain proactive communication with internal teams, including leadership, regarding portfolio status and pending reviews
• Maintain a thorough understanding of CBS LLC underwriting guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table

• You have three to five years of related experience in commercial real estate, financial institutions, or Credit Union Service Organizations (CUSOs).
• You have strong proficiency in financial statement analysis, tax return review, and loan underwriting.
• You work well independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
• You have strong attention to detail with accurate information processing and high-quality standards.
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and effective collaboration.
• You have strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• You have an analytical mindset to evaluate data, identify patterns, and develop insights.
• You have a team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate and coordinate across departments
• You have excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously
• You are Proficient in Microsoft 365 products and credit spreading software.
