Job summary

Central Bank of the Midwest is seeking a Commercial Lending support professional to assist with loan documentation, processing, and coordination of approved commercial loans. You will serve as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely, accurate handling of documents and disclosures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years general lending support experience preferred.
• Proficient in electronic imaging and workflow process from application through loan closing and booking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loan documentation and processing for the Commercial Lending team.
• Coordinate processing of approved new commercial loans, letters of credit, extensions, modifications and loan advances.
• Close loans and disperse loan proceeds as requested.
• Order flood certificates, appraisals, title insurance, and UCC searches as needed.
• Prepare new loan documents and review loans for accuracy and regulatory adherence.
• Follow up on documentation exceptions and outstanding items.
• Maintain positive relationships with lines of business and customers.

Job description

As a valued member of the broader Commercial Lending team, you will be relied upon to assist with the loan documentation process and to contribute value to the bank’s lending decisions. You will build rapport with internal and external stakeholders and become a key player in an essential process of our bank. You will perform a wide variety of support functions such as, coordinating the processing of approved new commercial loans, letter of credit, extensions, modications, loan advances and so forth, for the Commercial Lending team. You will engage with internal and external customers while providing legendary service levels. Your strong combination of interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills makes you a valued resource and partner.

Key Accountabilities:

• Efficient Operations – New Loan and Modifications
• Ensure documents are complete, accurate, recorded, filed appropriately, and maintained.
• Close loans and disperse loan proceeds as requested.
• Order flood certificates, appraisals, title insurance, and UCC searches as needed.
• Analytics / Reporting
• Prepare new loan documents and review loans in process for accuracy and adherence to policies, laws, and regulations.
• Follow up on documentation exceptions and / or outstanding items.
• Business Line Partnership
• Maintain positive working relationship with all lines of business.
• Respond to internal and external customers in a timely manner.
• Support Commercial Lenders in a positive and professional manner to promote meeting and/or exceeding business expectations.
• Keep Commercial Lending leadership apprised of department issues and / or concerns.
