Job summary

Bankwell in New Canaan, CT is seeking a Commercial Loan Administrator to support life-of-loan processes across C&I, CRE, SBA, and small business loans. This role connects Lending Teams with Back Office operations and requires strong adherence to policy, procedures and customer service.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in banking, strong MS Office and loan systems skills, and the ability to work from home if needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Banking/Finance/Cashier role.
• Experience with loan documentation prep, review and interpretation.
• SBA administration, commercial real estate admin, and/or construction admin a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide life-of-loan administration for Commercial Loan portfolios (C&I, CRE, SBA, Small Business, Workout).
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain confidentiality of customer information.
• Process and balance advances, payments, disbursements, and fees for closings.
• Coordinate closings with Lending Team and file loan documents.
• Review loan documents for accuracy and compliance; identify discrepancies.
• Assist senior CLAs with construction loan administration duties and site inspections.
• Support regulatory compliance including Flood and Beneficial Ownership rules.
• Maintain loan input forms, checklists and closing packages for submission.
