Job summary

Orion Placement seeks a paralegal for a high-stakes commercial litigation practice in Dallas. You will support 2 to 4 attorneys in a fast-moving team and help move cases forward with precision.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of commercial or complex litigation paralegal experience, federal court filing experience, and exceptional proofreading and attention to detail. This in-office role offers premium compensation and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in commercial litigation or complex litigation.
• Federal court experience is required (e-filing, rules, formatting, and deadline discipline).
• Excellent proofreading skills are required (you catch what others miss).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a high-volume environment supporting multiple attorneys.
• Comfortable juggling priorities and shifting deadlines without losing accuracy.
• No volume PI shop background and no purely transactional background.

Responsibilities

• Support 2 to 4 attorneys in a high-volume, fast-moving commercial litigation practice
• Prepare, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence with extreme accuracy
• Manage federal and state court filings, including e-filing procedures, formatting rules, and deadlines
• Maintain calendars, deadlines, and task tracking to ensure nothing slips
• Coordinate discovery logistics, including document collection, organization, production, and subpoenas
• Assist with deposition and hearing preparation, exhibits, and binders
• Communicate with courts, vendors, and opposing counsel professionally and promptly
• Help keep matters moving by anticipating next steps and proactively supporting attorney workflows
