Job summary

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP seeks a 2-3 year Associate Attorney to join the Houston office, handling complex commercial litigation and regulatory matters for national manufacturers and dealers.

The role offers substantial client exposure, direct collaboration with Partners, and a competitive base salary of $195,000 to $205,000 plus comprehensive benefits and potential bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Commercial Litigation experience required.
• Exposure to regulatory compliance, administrative law, dealership or distribution law is a plus.
• Excellent legal research, writing and analytical skills.
• Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Licensed and in good standing in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and client communications.
• Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Advise land distributors and manufacturers on regulatory compliance matters.
• Counsel clients regarding dealer and franchise relationships.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on sophisticated litigation and counseling matters.
• Develop direct relationships with national clients.
