Foley & Lardner is seeking a 2nd-3rd year associate (Class of 2023-2024) to join the Commercial Litigation Practice Group in our Houston office. Qualified candidate must be a persuasive legal writer and oral advocate and will have experience with complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts, including conducting written and document discovery; researching and drafting pleadings, motions and other court filings, including expedited relief (TRO, injunctions); conducting/defending depositions; preparing witnesses for testimony; and appearing for status conferences and motions in both state and federal court. Participation in settlement conferences and negotiations and experience with trial preparation is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, an exceptional work ethic, and must be comfortable having direct interaction with partners and clients.

In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The expected salary range for this position is $240,000-$260,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
