Job summary

Jobot is seeking a motivated Commercial Litigation Associate to join our expanding team in Austin. You will handle high-stakes commercial disputes, work directly with clients, and collaborate with a team of esteemed attorneys in a full-time, permanent role.

The ideal candidate has a JD, license to practice in Texas, and a minimum of 3 years in commercial litigation, with strong drafting and research skills and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
• Experience in commercial litigation (minimum 3 years).
• Strong experience in drafting motions and other court documents.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple cases from start to finish.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven track record of representing clients in court and other dispute resolution proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial litigation cases from inception through to conclusion.
• Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other court documents.
• Conduct extensive and detailed legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Collaborate with our team of attorneys to develop effective case strategies.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and advice on case developments.
• Contribute to business development activities, including client pitches and presentations.
• Stay updated with current laws, recent industry trends, and court decisions that may impact our clients.
