Texas Security General Insurance Agency seeks a Commercial Lines P&C Renewal Underwriter for its team in Dallas, Texas!

This can be a remote from home opportunity for the right candidate. Must be domiciled in Texas.

What will you do?

Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the CL Renewal Underwriter's main responsibility is to provide quality customer service to retail agents, Marketing Reps, and Underwriters as needed. Responsibilities include timely remarketing and renewal processing to ensure efficiency, friendliness, and accuracy, with a focus on timely turnaround for all renewals for Producers.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Review, remarket, process, and provide competitive quotes for all renewals at least 45 days in advance.
  • Follow up on renewal quotes using the SUSPENSE system in AIM to track all renewals within the created timeline.
  • Provide excellent customer service to retail agents regarding company information and renewal underwriting inquiries, including cancellations, questions, and re-quoting.
  • Provide a TSG PF agreement with each renewal.
  • Train retail agents on our online rating systems as needed.
  • Back up P&C producers with NB as necessary, once trained.
  • Manage SUSPENSE items daily to ensure timely processing.
  • Make outgoing renewal cancellation calls daily to 'save' policies, increase revenue, and improve retention.
  • Provide weekly updates on backlog to ensure timely duties completion.
  • Monthly, update the department and Marketing Team on renewal retention and reasons for lost renewals or competitor information.
  • Maintain statistics on renewals that are not retained.
  • Aim for a 75% renewal ratio within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Perform other related work as requested by management.
What will you need?
  • High school diploma or higher; insurance experience or ability to obtain a P&C license in Texas preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under stress.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High accuracy in proofreading and data entry.
  • Problem-solving skills for insurance issues.
  • Availability for overtime as needed.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Potential to advance to Underwriter based on performance and availability.
