Job Title: Commercial Lines Associate Underwriter (Commercial P&C)

Join us at Amerisure Insurance as a Commercial Lines Associate Underwriter (Commercial P&C). This role involves evaluating new business, performing risk assessments, and collaborating with underwriters and agents to ensure accurate underwriting decisions. The position offers a hybrid work model, working 2 days a week in one of our local offices across various locations such as Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Farmington Hills, MI; Indianapolis, IN; Phoenix, AZ; St. Louis, MO; or Tampa, FL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist underwriters in assessing new business submissions and documenting risk factors
  • Conduct risk analysis and evaluate coverage needs
  • Gather and verify necessary data for underwriting decisions
  • Review endorsement requests and assess their impact on policies
  • Collaborate with underwriters to understand risk exposures and recommend policy adjustments
  • Participate in training to develop underwriting skills
  • Determine coverage and pricing, generate quotes
  • Communicate with agents to clarify policy details and gather information
  • Monitor and resolve contingencies
  • Support the underwriting process with risk assessments and documentation
Minimum Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Internship experience in business or insurance preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
