Primary Responsibility
The Commercial Lines Associate Account Manager will be primarily responsible for servicing and handling commercial accounts with a total book between $50,000 to $300,000 in revenue.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support for the producer in maintaining existing commercial accounts in accordance with the objectives and procedures outlined in the agency procedures and workflows.
  2. Responsible for coordinating the renewal process, account development and retention of existing customers.
  3. Collect necessary renewal marketing information such as supplemental applications, schedules and loss runs.
  4. Provide quotes for new and existing business, update applications, assist with marketing process, prepare proposals/summaries and/or premium comparisons.
  5. Ability to handle insured and underwriting questions.
  6. Ability to create and process finance agreements.
  7. Orders and issues binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items.
  8. Complete all billings and invoicing on new business, renewals, endorsements, audits, and monthly reports.
  9. Proficient in all Account Processor essential functions & responsibilities.
  10. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of client and policy information in the agency management system.
  11. Establish and build relationships with customers and carriers.
Additional Functions & Responsibilities
  1. Provide backup and support for other team members.
  2. Pursue a program of personal and professional development through Total CSR.

Required Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent and/or college degree.
  2. Hold a valid Texas General Lines Agent License.
  3. At least one year of commercial experience.
  4. Proficient in tasks such as policy checking, endorsement and audit processing.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. A minimum of one of the following designations: QCLS, ACLS, PCIA, ACSR, CISR, AAI, CPCU, CIC or CRIS.
  2. A minimum of two years of commercial lines insurance experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  1. Intermediate to advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  2. Ability to learn the agency management software.
  3. Ability to work with internal and external clients at all levels.
  4. Ability to follow directions.
  5. High level of organizational skills.
  6. Ability to work independently, self-motivated and meets timed deadlines.
  7. Ability to follow processes and procedures set forth by the agency.
  8. Ability to problem solve.
  9. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  10. Ability to work with a team.
  11. Ability to communicate professionally, both oral and written.
  12. Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
