Responsible for providing customer service and supporting Producers by servicing existing accounts and soliciting new business. This position includes independent responsibility for servicing and retention of assigned customers/policies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Packages and markets applications to various carriers to obtain quotes;
  2. Negotiates prices, commissions, and/or coverages with carriers;
  3. Reviews policies, identifies deficiencies and determines appropriate level of coverage;
  4. Manages renewal process for expiring policies;
  5. Reviews client accounting history, responds to accounting inquiries, and corrects account discrepancies including collections on past due accounts;
  6. May participate in client meetings to review coverage;
  7. Gathers information for applications;
  8. Prepares presentations and proposals for clients;
  9. Researches requests for information from underwriters;
  10. Composes correspondence to insured and/or underwriters;
  11. Discusses and assists in setting renewal and/or new business marketing strategy with producer or supervisor;
  12. Prepares draft certificate templates for review and approval;
  13. Analyzes certificate requests and ensures clients needs are met;
  14. Inputs applications and creates letters, and other forms of correspondence;
  15. Binds insurance coverage and prepares insurance binders;
  16. Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
  17. Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Four (4) or more years related work experience

Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal

Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor

Valid insurance license


SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills

Good problem solving and time management skills

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
