Job summary

Acrisure is seeking an Account Manager in Naperville, IL to serve as a primary client contact across routine insurance tasks and account management. You will handle quotes, policy issuance, renewals, and client inquiries while applying underwriting concepts and maintaining data in Applied Systems/EPIC.

The role requires a Property & Casualty license, strong communication skills, and at least 2 years in commercial lines.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to discern priority and initiative.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong people skills.
• Mathematical skills to calculate figures such as discounts, premiums, commissions.

• Applied Systems / EPIC experience is a plus.
• Know and apply principles of insurance to everyday situations.
• High School diploma required; CPCU or related training is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lines.

Responsibilities

• Serve accounts, process quotes and issue policies, ID cards, endorsements, certificates, renewals and correspondence.
• Respond to client inquiries and company requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with insurance marketing and sales activities.
• Collect renewal data on assigned accounts and provide claims support.
• Develop coverage strategies and plans as needed.
• Review new/renewal policies and endorsements for accuracy.
• Maintain and document client data in Applied Systems / EPIC.
• Ensure data uploads/downloads/interface tech are utilized.
• Collaborate with other departments to issue appropriate policies for mutual clients.
• Keep Producers informed of important account activities and potential issues.
• Stay current with industry trends and licensing compliance.

Job Summary

Account Managers perform more routine responsibilities and are primary points of contact for clients they oversee. Account Managers are individual contributors with occasional guidance or direct supervision. Account managers know and apply the principles of insurance to everyday situations and perform routine responsibilities and can develop coverage strategies and plans.

Responsibilities

• Service accounts, including account transactions such as quote and issue policies, ID cards, proposal endorsements, certificates, claims, renewals, follow-up, and correspondence.
• Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail, and company request needs on a timely basis.
• Insurance marketing and sales.
• Collect renewal data on assigned accounts.
• Claims support.
• Develop coverage strategies and plans, as necessary.
• Review new/renewal policies and endorsements to ensure items were received as ordered.
• Maintain accuracy of client data in agency management system (Applied Systems / EPIC)
• Document all activities in agency management system (Applied Systems / EPIC)
• Understand and utilize upload, download, and interface technology.
• Assist other departments in securing and/or providing information necessary to issue appropriate policies in their department for which we have a mutual client.
• Keeping Producers informed of all important activities on their accounts including being sensitive to potential problems and informing management.
• Keep current with industry trends including participation in educational seminars and classes for improvement of insurance/sales skills and license compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of current underwriting requirements of contracted insurance carriers.
• Maintain knowledge of policy provisions and any changes in these provisions.
• Complete other functions and assignments assigned, including backup duties.

Requirements

• Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instructions and deal with a variety of variables furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Applied Systems / EPIC experience is a plus.
• Know and apply principles of insurance to everyday situations.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lines.
• CPCU or special training course completion is a plus.

Pay Details

The base compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
