Job summary

1870 Holdings is seeking a Commercial Lender to develop and manage a portfolio of commercial, agricultural, and commercial real estate relationships in the Peoria area. The role emphasizes proactive business development, underwriting strong credit quality, and building long-term partnerships with local businesses.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of commercial lending experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new commercial business relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial credit underwriting and financial statement analysis.
  • Experience with commercial real estate, owner-occupied real estate, agricultural lending, and C&I lending is preferred.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the credit and operations teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Agriculture, or a related field preferred (or equivalent banking experience).

  • Maintain a high level of customer service by providing timely responses and local decision-making.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and local market conditions.
  • Conduct all duties in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures.

Position Summary

The Commercial Lender is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial, agricultural, and commercial real estate relationships. This position will focus heavily on business development while maintaining high credit quality through thoughtful underwriting and ongoing portfolio management.
