Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Co in Northern Virginia seeks a Designer to create high-quality enhancement designs for commercial properties, collaborating with branch teams and visiting sites to capture conditions and client needs.

You will present concepts to customers, coordinate with subcontractors on materials, and ensure proposals are ready before bids. A design/architecture degree or equivalent landscape design experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design or architecture, or four years of landscape design and sales experience.
• Ability to develop creative, functional, aesthetically pleasing designs.
• Proficient with the listed design software and strong horticultural knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage design workflow to provide complete proposals before bid deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors on plant, furnishings, and materials costs.
• Prepare and distribute proposal packages to Area Managers.
• Participate in regular branch meetings and assist Branch Manager as needed.
• Develop understanding of company philosophies, goals, and financial position.
• Build strong working relationships with branch team and customers.
