Job summary

Great Lakes Service is seeking qualified Commercial Kitchen Service Technicians (hot side) to join our field team across Illinois, Indiana and surrounding areas. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations, ensuring minimal downtime and high first-time fix rates.

As part of our on-site team, you will handle installation, service, and preventive maintenance, working standard hours with on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair or equivalent roles.
• Electrical, electronic and mechanical skills required.
• Excellent customer communication skills.
• Successful drug screen and criminal background screening.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by meeting expectations on every service call.
• Complete service calls promptly and maintain service vehicle.
• Identify new customers and opportunities within existing accounts.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call schedules.
• Maintain parts inventory and order necessary components.
