Job summary

CookUnity is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to service and maintain commercial kitchen equipment, plumbing, and related systems. Refrigeration knowledge is a plus, with a need for careful attention to detail and teamwork across maintenance tasks.

The role requires hands-on experience with gas and electric appliances, HVAC, and electrical/mechanical repairs, plus strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining commercial kitchen equipment and related systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair gas/electric appliances and plumbing fixtures.
• Familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and implement timely, effective fixes.
• Repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components as needed.
• Install new equipment following manufacturer specs and safety protocols.
• Keep accurate service and parts records for reporting.
• Coordinate with teams for repairs, parts orders, and schedules.
• Adhere to safety regulations while on-site or in workshop.
• Provide great customer-facing service and clear communication.
• Maintain knowledge of gas, electric, HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration.
• Stand for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs; operate in a demanding environment.
