Job summary

FreshDirect is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Maintenance Manager to oversee reliability and upkeep of our manufacturing, refrigeration, and facility equipment. You will lead a team of Manufacturing and HVAC Technicians, drive preventive maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance across our kitchen, bakery, and R&D lines.

Responsibilities include coaching technicians, managing PM schedules, budgeting, labor planning, and coordinating with external contractors.

Qualifications

• Proven, expert‑level experience maintaining commercial and industrial kitchen equipment.
• Experience with ovens, steam kettles, braising pans, fryers, rotisseries, deli slicers, band saws.
• Refrigeration systems knowledge; HVAC and general facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Proficient with Building Management Systems and ServiceDesk; experience in Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to technicians, follow up on completions, and coach the team.
• Maintain PM schedules for industrial kitchen equipment and HVAC systems.
• Monitor reliability and reduce unplanned breakdowns on critical assets.
• Plan maintenance projects with other departments.
• Budget parts, labor, and services; manage labor scheduling.
• Work with external contractors; perform root cause analysis.
