Job summary

Air Comfort Service Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician to join our growing Food Services Division in West Babylon, NY. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of commercial cooking equipment, delivering professional service to customers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of kitchen equipment experience and strong diagnostic skills across electrical, gas, mechanical, and plumbing systems, with the ability to read wiring diagrams and service manuals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial kitchen equipment experience.
• Strong electrical, gas, mechanical, and plumbing diagnostic skills.
• Experience servicing equipment from multiple commercial manufacturers.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial cooking and food-service equipment.
• Service ovens, ranges, fryers, griddles, steamers, kettles, warmers, dishwashers, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot gas, electric, steam, plumbing, mechanical, and control-system issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Identify unsafe equipment conditions and communicate repair recommendations promptly.
• Test equipment after repairs to confirm safe and proper operation.
• Clearly document work performed, parts used, equipment condition, and recommendations.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, supervisors, and other technicians.
• Participate in the department’s on-call rotation.
• Follow manufacturer requirements and all company and customer safety procedures.
