Job summary

Nemean Solutions, LLC is seeking an Appliance Mechanic to support facility operations at the Columbus, OH DEFENSE facility. You will install, service, test, and repair household and commercial appliances, performing preventive maintenance per work orders and manufacturer specs.

Responsibilities include wiring, calibration, diagnostics, and ensuring safety compliance. The role requires NFPA 70/70E awareness and EPA 608 certification, with focus on minimal disruption to cafeteria operations.

Qualifications

• Training, knowledge and skills for appliances and equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Ability to install, service, test, troubleshoot, disassemble, repair and maintain appliances.
• EPA Section 608 certification and compliance with federal/state/local regulations.
• NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E requirements for electrical work.
• Willingness to complete required site orientation and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other appliances.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs per instructions and maintenance lists.
• Connect appliances to power and test with appropriate meters and diagnostic tools.
• Observe readings to identify deficiencies and address issues.
• Disassemble and inspect mechanical and electrical components for wear or damage.
• Trace circuits using wiring diagrams and locate faults with meters.
• Calibrate timers/thermostats and verify operation after service.
• Coordinate work with the Contracting Officer's Representative to minimize disruption.
• Follow lockout/tagout, electrical-safety, and PPE requirements; maintain documentation.
