Job summary

Nextech is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial kitchen equipment, including refrigeration. The role combines independent field work with strong team support, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement.

You’ll operate from a home dispatch model with a company vehicle and tool allowance, while enjoying comprehensive benefits and seasonal bonuses. A valid license and hands-on troubleshooting skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, installation, and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment including refrigeration.
• Diagnose mechanical, electronic, and electrical issues and repair to manufacturer specs.
• Coordinate daily schedules with dispatch and communicate delays or changes clearly.
• Maintain electronic work orders and documentation on company iPad.
• Answer customer questions, identify additional service needs, and deliver excellent service.
• Participate in rotating on-call shifts for emergencies.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory to high standards.
• Attend ongoing technical training to stay current with industry advancements.
• Report safety concerns and identify potential new business opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a CKE Technician at Nextech, you’ll be on the front lines of service excellence — diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial food service equipment for a wide range of clients. You’ll work independently while being backed by an incredible support team that ensures you’re always set up for success.

Here’s what your day could include:

• Performing service, repair, installation, and maintenance on a variety of commercial kitchen equipment including refrigeration
• Diagnosing mechanical, electronic, and electrical issues and making repairs to manufacturer specifications
• Coordinating daily schedules with dispatch and ensuring all delays or changes are communicated professionally
• Managing accurate and detailed electronic work orders and documentation using a company-issued iPad
• Answering customer questions, identifying additional service needs, and delivering an exceptional customer experience
• Participating in rotating on-call shifts for emergency service needs
• Maintaining your company vehicle, tools, and inventory to the highest standards
• Attending ongoing technical training to stay up to date with industry advancements
• Reporting safety concerns and identifying potential new business opportunities
• Supporting your team and contributing to a culture of service, excellence, and safety
