Position Summary
  • The Senior Service Technician reports to the Service Manager.
  • Located in Dallas, TX
  • Full-Time

The Senior Service Technician provides advanced service, repair, and installation of foodservice equipment, requiring technical expertise and leadership skills, including mentoring junior technicians. This role offers incentives, door-to-door pay, and tuition reimbursement for certifications and career growth.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  1. Advanced Service and Repair:
    • Perform complex equipment installations.
    • Complete on-site repair and maintenance, participating in on-call rotations.
    • Handle advanced service, repair, and installation independently.
    • Conduct troubleshooting, testing, and repairs.
    • Manage inventory and tools on the service vehicle safely.
  2. Mentorship:
    • Guide and train junior technicians.
    • Enhance team technical skills.
  3. Safety and Compliance:
    • Lead safety initiatives and ensure safety protocols are followed.
    • Regularly inspect safety devices and equipment.
    • Test and adjust post-installation and repairs to manufacturer standards.
  4. Inventory Management:
    • Maintain proper inventory and tools.
    • Perform installation, servicing, and repairs.
  5. Communication and Reporting:
    • Coordinate with manufacturers, sales reps, and customers.
    • Provide detailed service reports via tablet.
    • Collaborate on procedures and work orders with management.
  6. Customer Interaction:
    • Deliver professional service during reactive calls, preventive maintenance, and installations.
    • Build positive customer relationships.
  7. Leadership and Training:
    • Assist in training programs.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Problem Solving:
    • Lead troubleshooting of complex issues.
    • Seek support from higher-level technicians when needed.
  9. Documentation:
    • Interpret equipment manuals.
    • Keep accurate records of parts and materials.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Ability to pass background check.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift 75 pounds.
  • Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Use hands for handling tools and objects.
  • Stand for long periods.
