TheCommercial Irrigation Technician is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial irrigation systems. This role ensures optimal system performance and water efficiency across a variety of client properties. The Irrigation Technician works closely with supervisors, crew members, and clients to deliver excellent service and high-quality workmanship in the field.

Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, and repair irrigation systems, including valves, heads, rotors, drip lines, lateral lines, and controllers
Diagnose issues such as low pressure, leaks, electrical faults, and faulty wiring in irrigation systems
Program and adjust controllers for proper watering schedules, seasonal efficiency, and client needs
Test systems for proper operation after installation or repair
Perform routine system checks to ensure all zones are functioning correctly
Replace broken heads, nozzles, drip emitters, and damaged lines as needed
Monitor water usage and recommend adjustments for conservation
Identify and report potential issues to supervisors or clients
Complete work orders, service logs, and material usage reports accurately
Maintain clear and timely communication with team members and supervisors
Educate clients or property managers on system usage and care
Operate trenchers, pipe pullers, and hand tools safely and effectively
Maintain irrigation tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working order
Follow all company safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE
3+ years of hands-on irrigation experience (installation and repair)
Valid Texas Driver’s License required
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to kneel, dig, reach, and operate tools for extended periods
