Job summary

The Supply Room is seeking a full-time Designer in Washington, D.C. to provide exceptional design services, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to project timelines. You’ll collaborate closely with clients and sales teams, utilizing AutoCAD and CET to create innovative designs that meet practical needs and budget constraints.

Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Design and at least 3 years of experience in commercial design. In addition to competitive hourly pay, the position offers benefits such as insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in commercial design.
• Experience in the office furniture industry preferred.
• Experience with government‑sector projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide design services for multiple salespeople.
• Utilize AutoCAD and CET to prepare renderings.
• Attend client planning and project kick‑off meetings.
• Verify peer designers’ work to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate professionally with clients.

Skills

Proficiency with PC and Mac

Proficiency with AutoCAD

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work independently or collaboratively

Knowledge of applicable building codes

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, or related field

NCIDQ, LEED, or WELL certifications preferred
