I-5 Design Build is a national design-build firm with more than 40 years of experience creating casino, hospitality, entertainment, food and beverage, and high-end commercial environments. Our integrated team manages architecture, interior design, engineering, custom fabrication, construction, and installation, creating a highly collaborative path from concept to completion.
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Interior Designer to develop visually compelling, functional environments for casino, hospitality, restaurant, entertainment, and other high-end commercial projects. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, estimators, fabricators, construction professionals, and project managers. Because these disciplines work together from I-5's Lacey headquarters, the team can review ideas, resolve technical challenges, and make decisions quickly.
A major part of the position involves selecting and specifying materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, wallcoverings, tile, and other commercial design elements. Candidates must be proficient in SketchUp and able to present a professional portfolio demonstrating relevant high-end commercial work. An architecture license or interior-design license is not required. Relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate with the appropriate level of experience.
At I-5, your designs do not disappear into a handoff between disconnected companies. You will collaborate with the people who estimate, engineer, fabricate, build, and install the environments you create. The company's established history and hands-on leadership provide stability, while its complex projects offer meaningful creative challenges. You will have the opportunity to influence distinctive commercial spaces and see your ideas become finished environments.
