Qualifications

• 5+ years of underwriting experience in commercial or personal lines.
• Proficient with ISO classification codes and rating manuals.
• Experience reviewing third-party data reports (CLUE, MVR, LexisNexis).

Responsibilities

• Review application data, loss runs and third-party reports to assess underwriting eligibility.
• Calculate premiums using ISO manuals, class codes and carrier rating models.
• Analyze past claims to identify loss trends and determine loss ratios.
• Draft policy terms and prepare coverage documents, endorsements and declarations.
• Provide well-documented underwriting decisions with risk recommendations.
