Job summary

CoolSys is hiring Refrigeration Start-up Technicians to commission supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, ensuring timely, accurate service and supporting Energy Optimization (EO) projects.

The ideal candidate has advanced knowledge of solid-state controls, EMS wiring/programming (CPC/Novar/Danfoss), and Journeyman-level installation experience across electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems. Excellent customer communication is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supermarket EMS systems experience.
• EPA I and II Certification preferred.
• 5+ years of refrigeration experience, CO2 a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Evacuate parallel racks after confirming pressure tests.
• Wire and program EMS systems for all manufacturers.
• Start up new parallel refrigeration systems and displays.
• Lead small projects like single case and condenser changes.
• Assist EO projects including retro-commissioning and EMS upgrades.
• Coordinate with branch Service/Construction Managers on projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
