Job summary

W.B. Guimarin & Co., Inc. in Greenville, SC is seeking skilled HVAC technicians to perform troubleshooting, service operations, and preventative maintenance on commercial and residential systems.

Responsibilities include electrical testing, pressure/leak checks, joining pipes, wiring, thermostat installations, reading blueprints, using hand and power tools, and maintaining required certifications. A valid SC driver’s license and a clean driving record are required; a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate would have 2+ years of Commercial HVAC experience (residential considered).
• Should have Air Cooled Chiller Experience.
• Acceptable driving record and valid South Carolina Driving License
• New Employee and Random drug testing required.
• Proficient in PC based computer systems and tablet/smartphone technology.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and details; perform basic mathematical computations and use measuring tools.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds routinely, 50 pounds frequently, 80 pounds occasionally; climb ladders and scaffolding.
• New Employee Fit for Duty physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and service on HVAC systems to diagnose problems and perform preventative maintenance.
• Test electrical circuits or components for continuity using electrical test equipment.
• Test pipes or tubing joints for leaks using pressure gauge or soap-water solution.
• Join pipes or tubing to equipment and to fuel, water, or refrigerant source.
• Reassemble and test equipment after repairs.
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Lay out and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment per wiring diagrams.
• Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats and timers using hand tools.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications.
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specs.
