The City of Huntsville’s General Services Department seeks a qualified HVAC Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across City facilities, parks, and buildings. This is journey level HVAC work with a focus on reliable equipment operation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with at least four years HVAC experience, a valid driver’s license, and EPA certification in Alabama; CDL Class B endorsements are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination plus minimum four years HVAC experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• EPA certification with the state of Alabama.
• CDL Class B Endorsement test within six months of hire/promotions.
• CDL Class B Endorsement within eleven months of hire/promotions.
• On-call emergency rotation participation.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance, repair, and installation work on HVAC systems in City-owned facilities, parks, and structures.
• Maintain and service HVAC equipment to ensure reliable building operations.
• Coordinate and respond to on-call emergencies as required.
