Job summary

EMI Services is seeking an HVAC Technician specializing in commercial HVAC for Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. The role covers maintenance, repair, replacement, and modernization to maintain controlled climates. EPA Universal cert and ability to work on diverse systems are preferred.

Salary is $52.25/hr with employer-paid health benefits and pension; candidates must have TS/SCI eligibility, a valid driver’s license, and pass drug/background checks. On-site role with strong safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in the maintenance, repair, installation, and operation of COMMERCIAL heating, ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
• EPA Type II Refrigeration License
• MUST have a Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI Eligibility
• Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing to obtain one
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations

Responsibilities

• Work on various types of HVAC units: Chillers, Air Handlers, Package Units in a Commercial/Industrial setting
• Use a multi-meter to check voltage lamp
• Prepare work orders and cost materials estimates
• May assist in training lower-level workers in mechanical repair techniques
