Total Comfort Group is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC equipment at customer locations across the MD/DC/VA area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with RTUs, split systems, package units, heat pumps, air handlers, and ventilation equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and system evaluations.
• Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, heat pumps, air handlers, exhaust systems, make‑up air units, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, airflow, controls, and building automation issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Perform equipment startups, testing, commissioning, and operational verification.
• Communicate repair recommendations, deficiencies, and maintenance needs to customers and management.
• Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation as required.

Total Comfort Group is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our expanding Mid-Atlantic team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC equipment at customer locations throughout the MD/DC/VA area.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), Direct Digital Controls (DDC), and HVAC controls preferred.
• Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC HVAC-related licenses/certifications are a plus.
