Job summary

HTS Engineering Ltd. is seeking an HVAC technician to install, repair and maintain heating, ventilation, and cooling systems on campus. The role covers equipment servicing, leak repair, and system verification to ensure reliable operation.

The ideal candidate will interpret DDC programming, use hand and power tools, perform testing with calibrated instruments, and ensure safety and efficiency in all activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC installation and maintenance.
• Ability to interpret basic control logic and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, operate, and repair HVAC equipment across campus.
• Lubricate and service compressors, motors, and moving parts to keep equipment in good working order.
• Locate and repair leaks, then retest systems to confirm proper operation.
• Test the efficiency of systems using calibration and testing instruments, and make adjustments as needed.
• Test large systems before operation, run for several hours, and adjust thermostats/valves for proper control.
• Inspect and operate units to confirm proper function.
• Interpret DDC programming in conjunction with installed equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.

HVAC Installation, Repair & Maintenance

• Install, inspect, operate, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling equipment and machinery across campus
• Lubricate and service compressors, motors, and other moving parts to keep equipment in good working order
• Locate and repair leaks, then retest systems to confirm proper operation

System Testing & Performance

• Test the efficiency of systems using calibration and testing instruments, and make adjustments as needed
• Test large systems before placing them in operation, running them for several hours and adjusting thermostats and valves to ensure proper control
• Inspect and operate units to confirm all are functioning properly

Controls & Technical Expertise

• Interpret DDC programming in conjunction with installed equipment
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively
