Job summary

BGIS Integrated Technical Services (ITS) is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician for Portland, OR/Seattle, WA area to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including air handlers, boilers, chillers, and ice machines. You will diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

• EPA Certification and 06A Certification required.

• Pay: $40–$60/hr. ($83,200–$124,800/annually based off a 40 Hr. work week); Overtime when authorized by Leadership
• On-Call Pay: $150 per scheduled on-call shift

What You’ll Do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems (air handlers, boilers, chillers, ice machines).
• Perform inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and equipment changeouts.
• Provide excellent customer service and accurate record-keeping.
• Use company tools: service van, iPad, iPhone.

Skills

• Service and install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Service and install new ice machines.
• Do routine maintenance on ice machines and refrigeration.
• Assess and troubleshoot commercial HVAC to determine required repairs.
• Inspect and perform equipment repair and replacements.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and recommend preventative repairs to avoid unplanned downtime.
• Respond to emergency service requests.
• Provides observations about facility, facility mechanical conditions and deficiencies and provides recommendations for enhancement and repair.
• Participates in and assists with facility-related projects.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Able to work on lite commercial equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Completes paperwork in a timely manner.
• Reports to job assignment and work in a timely manner
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with industry software preferable but not required.
