Job summary

Air Systems Engineering, Inc., part of Comfort Systems USA, seeks a reliable Commercial HVAC Service Projects Installer to join our Northwest retrofit team. This is not new construction, and the wage range is $40 to $50 per hour.

You will install and retrofit HVAC systems, fabricate and install ductwork, read blueprints, and collaborate with project managers and trades to meet tight timelines while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial HVAC installation experience, retrofit focus.
• Proficient ductwork fabrication and installation.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems in commercial/light industrial settings.
• Retrofit existing systems with minimal disruption to occupied buildings.

Overview

Air Systems Engineering, Inc., part of Comfort Systems USA, is one of the largest commercial mechanical contractors in the Northwest, specializing in Design/Build, Fabrication and Installation, Construction, Controls and Service. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial HVAC Service Projects Installer who can work in fast-moving retrofit and upgrade environments, including active facilities and tight timelines.

This is not new construction. The right candidate will be a team player who communicates well with people at all levels and maintains ownership of assigned responsibilities. WAGE RANGE: $40 to $50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional installations of HVAC systems in commercial and light industrial settings.
• Retrofit existing systems, including tear-outs and reinstallation with minimal disruption to occupied buildings.
• Fabricate, modify, and install sheet metal ductwork as required by job scope.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and installation standards.
• Work independently or with a team to meet tight project timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, service techs, and other trades on-site.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, particularly with retrofits.
• Strong skills in sheet metal ductwork fabrication and installation.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Electrical License/Trainee Card preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders, and operate power tools.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
