Job summary

Socket.dev in Boston seeks a skilled HVAC technician for commercial retrofit work, upgrading and replacing building systems to improve energy efficiency and code compliance. You will remove and install heating and cooling equipment, set up VRF/VAV systems and controls, read blueprints, and work with a crew to maintain project schedules and ensure customer satisfaction.

This role requires 3+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, EPA Universal certification, and OSHA 10, with on-site customer

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on HVAC experience.
• EPA Universal certification required.
• OSHA 10 required.

Responsibilities

• Remove and replace commercial heating and cooling equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, chillers, and rooftop packages.
• Install modern systems such as VRF and VAV equipment, with advanced building controls.
• Run low-voltage control wiring and complete rough-in work.
• Assist with light sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Follow all applicable codes and regulations.
• Communicate with customers on-site to explain work being performed.
• Work with crew to keep projects on schedule and meet expectations.
