Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyman to install, inspect, maintain and repair HVAC systems at our Palm Desert, CA projects. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, read blueprints and follow safety protocols to ensure reliable operation.

The position requires 5+ years of field experience, EPA 608 Universal certification, and a valid driver's license. This full-time, on-site role offers competitive wages and benefits in a union-aligned

Qualifications

5+ years of field experience as Licensed Journeyman in HVAC.
Must have an EPA Certification (608) Universal License.
Commercial experience as a HVAC and Refrigeration Technician.
Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
Participates in the ongoing training available to our crews to keep updated on the newest equipment and latest software for HVAC equipment.
Strong oral and written communication required.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (vacuuming, cleaning, filter changes, oiling).
Execute routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
