Job summary

Total Mechanical Service is seeking an HVAC, Refrigeration & Cooking Equipment Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment at customer sites in Illinois and nearby regions. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to emergency service calls, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

You will work from our field service team, maintain a professional appearance, and coordinate with customers, dispatchers, and sales staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cooking, refrigeration, or HVAC equipment service (or related military) experience.
• Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills.
• Effective customer communication skills.
• 100% dedication to working hard, being on time, and staying organized.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance.
• Completion of a successful background check and drug screen.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Driving record must align with our safety standards.

Overview

Total Mechanical Service is hiring an HVAC, Refrigeration & Cooking Equipment Technician responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial kitchen & refrigeration equipment at our customer locations. Our technicians also provide preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and respond to emergency service calls on equipment including ovens, fryers, steamers, warmers, dish cleaning equipment, walk-ins, and ice machines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Fryers, Ovens, Steamers, Ranges, Broilers, Ware Wash, Walk-ins, coolers, freezers, ice machines, prep tables, etc.
• CFESA certification and related Training
• EPA Universal Certification,
• Computer literate
