Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mobile HVAC Technician to provide mobile maintenance and repairs across a telecom portfolio. You will focus on RTUs and related systems, travel between sites in a company vehicle, and perform light plumbing and electrical tasks as needed.

The role offers autonomy, a company-provided take-home van, and no mandatory overtime, with opportunities to advance within CBRE's Engineering and Technical Services team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of related experience.
  • In lieu of a diploma, a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a company service vehicle.
  • Experience servicing commercial HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and repairing RTUs.
  • Working knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, equipment documentation, and technical information.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work independently across multiple locations.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, with a primary focus on rooftop units (RTUs) and related equipment.
  • Travel between assigned sites using a company-provided service vehicle to support a portfolio of telecommunications facilities.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and building system issues to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
  • Complete light plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks as needed to support facility operations.
  • Review assigned work orders, identify required materials, estimate repair times, and document work performed.
  • Inspect equipment and building systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve system performance and reduce operating costs.
  • Assist with the installation, modification, and improvement of building equipment and systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management regarding maintenance activities, repair status, and operational concerns.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work is completed safely, professionally, and on schedule.

About The Role

The minimum salary for the Mobile HVAC Technician position is $22.00 per hour, and the maximum salary is $35.00 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their individual skills, qualifications, and experience.
