Job summary

Patterson Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a Commercial New Construction HVAC Mechanic in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role focuses on installing commercial HVAC systems in new and renovated buildings, interpreting blueprints, and completing start-up procedures to ensure quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, a valid driver's license, and strong communication and problem-solving skills; EPA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC systems in new and renovated buildings.
• Remove old equipment and set new equipment.
• Install ductwork, refrigeration piping, drain piping, and gas piping.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Complete equipment start-up procedures and checklists.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, condition, and inventory.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Position Summary

The Commercial New Construction HVAC Mechanic is responsible for installing commercial HVAC systems in new and renovated buildings. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC systems in new and renovated buildings
• Remove old equipment and set new equipment
• Install ductwork, refrigeration piping, drain piping, and gas piping
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Complete equipment start-up procedures and checklists
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, condition, and inventory

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years commercial HVAC experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License (Required)
• EPA Universal Certification (Preferred)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and check own work for quality
• $25 – $35 per hour, based on experience, skill level, and qualifications
