We manage retail, office, industrial, SNTL, and residential assets across seven U.S. markets. In addition to our commercial real estate efforts, we evaluate company acquisitions primarily in the greater Nashville, TN area.

The opportunity

The role of a Commercial HVAC Maintenance Technician involves highly skilled work in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This individual is responsible for troubleshooting issues, providing technical expertise, and collaborating closely with the Property Manager and Property Services Manager. They will manage work orders assigned by the Property Services Manager and must work autonomously and responsibly with minimal supervision, adhering to all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain buildings, tenant spaces, and common areas in optimal condition.

What you'll do

1. Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure HVAC systems are running efficiently and safely.
2. Install and repair ductwork and ventilation systems to ensure proper airflow and indoor air quality.
3. Add refrigerant to cooling systems and check for leaks.
4. Test electrical circuits and components to ensure proper functioning.
5. Install appliances and equipment.
6. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., chillers/boilers, plumbing, HVAC).
7. Collaborate with other professionals during renovations or projects.
8. Report issues to the Property Manager.
9. Maintain knowledge of each property's inner workings to ensure proper upkeep.

Who you are

• Proven experience as an HVAC technician.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC Certification such as NATE, HVAC Excellence, EPA 608 and 609, ASHRAE, etc.
• Familiarity with Google Suite and MaintainX (or similar software).
• 5+ years of HVAC experience.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with property managers, building owners, and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Salary Range

We aim to hire top-tier individuals with compensation aligned to our values and market standards. Final salary depends on experience, skills, and other factors.

Hourly pay range: $30—$35 USD
